Bhopal 11 May 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that after studying and examining the new investment proposals in the state, the Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department should prepare a calendar and complete the works on time. Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing new investment proposals in the state today.
Bakery & Food Products Unit in Ujjain
Chief Minister Chouhan was informed today by M/s Rich Products and Solutions Private Limited about the proposal to set up a bakery and food product unit in Ujjain. The work of allotment of land for bakery and food production unit providing employment to about 700 people with a capital investment of Rs. 220 crore is in process. It is proposed to set up the unit in Vikram Udyogpuri industrial area of Ujjain by August 2023. The unit is being set up in Madhya Pradesh in view of the good prospects for the production of bakery-related food and beverages.
The MD of Rich Products and Solutions Pvt Ltd Pankaj Chaturvedi told Chief Minister Chouhan that Madhya Pradesh is conducive for the establishment of such units due to industrial peace, public cleanliness, being geographically located in the middle of the country. The work of supply of production is easily done from Madhya Pradesh. Presently there are about 15 Hubs operated by the Institute in the country. Units are functioning in Himachal and Maharashtra. This company is working as a subsidiary of America's multinational company Rich Products.
Ethylene production unit will provide new employment in Bundelkhand region
The Chairman of Bharat Oman Refineries Limited Arun Kumar Singh met Chief Minister Chouhan and discussed. He informed about the expansion project. Under this, ethylene cracker production and petrochemical complex will be developed. It is noteworthy that after the establishment of the refinery at Bina in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, there has been an increase in economic activities. An environment of industrial development has been created in the entire Bundelkhand region. The project will prove to be important for this purpose. Along with creating a large number of jobs, works of infrastructural development will be done. It was informed that about 2 thousand people would get employment due to the commencement of the project in about 250 acres of land in Sagar district. Officials of refineries said that setting up of industrial units in Madhya Pradesh is convenient as compared to other states. Chief Minister Chouhan said that today it is our national duty to use alternative sources of energy. Production can be started after completing the work in the coming one-and-a-half year.
