Bhopal 21 May 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the day is starting with public service and development works today. It is our resolve that we will leave no stone unturned in raising the standard of living of the people. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the development activities and law and order situation in the districts for the third consecutive day at 6:30 am. Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed Khandwa and Dindori districts from the residence office today. Tourism and Culture and Khandwa district in charge minister Sushri Usha Thakur and Higher Education and Dindori in charge minister Dr. Mohan Yadav virtually attended the review meeting. Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah attended the meeting from Khandwa. Collector Khandwa Anoop Kumar Singh, Collector Dindori Ratnakar Jha and administrative officers of the districts also virtually joined the review meeting.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is my aim that the beneficiaries should get the benefits of development activities and public welfare schemes without delay and corruption. The government employees should stay in touch with the beneficiaries through constant interaction. This helps to identify the difficulties faced in the implementation of the schemes and their redressal becomes easy. Zero tolerance on corruption and complete destruction of criminals and mafia is the top priority of the state government.
Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed the drinking water system, Anganwadis and nutrition status, in Khandwa and Dindori district, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Amrit Sarovar, ration distribution, CM Helpline, MGNREGA, ongoing innovations in the districts and activities being undertaken under the ‘Ek Zila- Ek Utpad’ scheme. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to run a campaign to encourage public participation in Anganwadis. He said that he himself would go out on May 24 to collect goods for the Anganwadis with public participation.
Khandwa makes record in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Chief Minister Chouhan, while reviewing Khandwa district, directed that malnutrition should be eliminated by taking it into task and review it every three months. He told to pay attention to the supply of drinking water and electricity in Anganwadis. Encourage the general public in the ‘Adopt an Anganwadi campaign’ and continuously monitor the adopted Anganwadis. Collector Khandwa informed that the powder of munga leaves is being used in anganwadis to remove malnutrition, which has been effective.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the condition of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in Khandwa is better. The Chief Minister congratulated the administration on the completion of 94.33 percent housing in the district. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Khandwa district can make a record by completing remaining 6 percent housing work. It was informed in the meeting that the target of Housing Plus is 16 thousand 300, in which 10 thousand houses has been approved. There are technical issues in a few of them, which will be resolved soon. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the list of beneficiaries selected under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be displayed at the panchayat level. Also, letters should be sent to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Chief Minister. Complaints of getting name added in the scheme or taking money for release of installment will not be tolerated, such complaints should be acted upon immediately. Chief Minister Chouhan said that 42.9 percent houses have been completed under the Urban Housing Scheme, so their works should be speeded up. The works related to MNREGA were also reviewed by the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Chouhan, while reviewing the drinking water situation in Khandwa, directed to change the pipeline from Charkhed to Khandwa. It was informed in the meeting that the Revenue, Police, Municipal Corporation is working as a team for the supply of drinking water. Responsibilities have been entrusted to the officers for constant communication with the general public regarding the status of drinking water. Chief Minister Chouhan directed that immediate alternative arrangements should be made in places facing water crisis. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed displeasure over the delay in distribution of ration. Redressal of complaints related to irregularities in electricity supply and electricity bill was also discussed in the meeting.
Chief Minister Chouhan received information about the progress of Pride Day, CM Rise School and Amrit Sarovar in Khandwa district. It was informed that CM Rise Schools would be started in Jawar and Harsud. Chief Minister Chouhan said that out of 101 Amrit Sarovars being built in the district, the work of some lakes should be completed by August 15 and Independence Day should be organized around them. Special care of beautification and plantation in the construction of Amrit Sarovar, and these should be developed as a model of water conservation.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that priority should be given to construction of houses for the poor on land freed from mafia and criminals. It was informed that so far 95 hectares of land in the district has been freed from mafia. Chief Minister Chouhan said that strictest action should be taken against criminals and mafia. He said that illegal animal transport must be taken seriously. Chief Minister Chouhan said that collectors should develop their own intelligence network and take immediate action against corrupt officials. In the meeting, Forest Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah stated the need to connect 16 villages of the district with irrigation system.
Review of Dindori district
Chief Minister Chouhan expressed concern over the low number of institutional deliveries during the review of Dindori district. It was told that due to network problem in two development blocks adjoining Chhattisgarh, there is delay in getting immediate information. Chief Minister Chouhan directed to strengthen the network system and improve health facilities in the development blocks. Collector Dindori informed that the health facilities in the district hospital have been expanded with public participation at the district headquarters. The collector informed about the innovations made in the arrangement of micro dairy in the district. Chief Minister Chouhan said that dairy business will help in connecting tribal youth with livelihood. Such activities should be promoted. Kodo-Kutki, which is being produced organically in Dindori district, is in great demand from health point of view. In view of this demand, its brand can be expanded across the country. Chief Minister Chouhan also reviewed the employment oriented schemes run in the tribal dominated areas, fair price of forest produce and wages for tendu leaves plucking.
