Bhopal 27 May 2022: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the quality of education is continuously improving in the state at the school level. In the last survey conducted by the Government of India, Madhya Pradesh was ranked 17th, in this year's survey, Madhya Pradesh is at the fifth place in the entire country. The people of the state deserve congratulations for this achievement. The quality of education plays an important role in building a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. CM Rise Schools are being started with the aim of improving the quality. We have to keep in mind that a healthy body is of utmost importance for happiness. For this the quality of the food is important. The mid-day meal provided in schools provides nutrition, but proteins and vitamins play an important role in the development of children. Moong dal is a good source of protein. Therefore, the state government has decided to provide moong dal to the students up to class 8th.

Chief Minister Chouhan inaugurated the programme for distribution of 78 thousand 511 metric tonne moong dal to 66 lakh students of the state by lighting a lamp and performing Kanya Poojan. Chief Minister Chouhan started the state-wide moong dal distribution programme by presenting five kg packets of moong dal to Kumari Rashi Mishra, Kumari Sonam Gaur and Kumari Kavita Dhakad in a programme held at Government Subhash Utkrisht Higher Secondary School. Under the scheme, 10 kg of moong dal will be given to students of classes 1 to 5 and 15 kg of moong dal to students of classes 6 to 8 with the aim of ensuring more nutrients in the food of the students.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that for the all-round development of the students, it is necessary to pay attention to personal health, sports and nutrition along with education. Special campaign is being conducted to remove malnutrition in Anganwadis also. Distribution of moong dal at the school level will improve the nutritional and health status of the students and their families.

Referring to Swami Vivekananda, Chief Minister Chouhan while motivating the students said that one should never consider oneself weak. You become what you want with your strong will and constant effort. Chief Minister Chouhan motivated the students to move ahead while being studious and said that we will not allow money to become a hindrance in the education of any child. The fees of the students who pass the engineering, NEET, CLAT examinations will be paid by the state government.
It was informed that the implementation of moong distribution would be done in coordination with the Department of School Education, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection and Panchayat and Rural Development. Former Pro Tem Speaker and MLA Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Krishna Gaur, Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Faiz Ahmed Kidwai were present – Window to News
