Bhopal 03 June 2022 : Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that the values ​​of helping the deprived sections should be inculcated in the children right from their childhood. Children should have the emotion and feeling that whatever help they can provide to the deprived section, they should go ahead and provide it. He said that teachers should inculcate feelings of self-reliance and sensitivity towards disadvantaged sections in children through their own experiences. It is the responsibility of the parents and teachers to make the children responsible citizens of the society by giving them the right and good shape. Governor Patel was addressing the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Hema Higher Secondary School.

Governor Patel said that children are the future of our country. Children's life, overall development and their well being is an important aspect of building a capable, competent and prosperous nation. It is the collective responsibility of the government, society, teachers and parents to take proper care and protection of the children, so that their holistic development takes place. Children get accustomed to the values ​​they get in the family and school, so the teachers should give proper guidance to the children as well as the parents for good habits.

Governor Patel said that the school environment should make the children healthy, educated, sensitive and capable of cooperating in the development of the nation and society. With the participation of children in the schools, events should be organised to introduce them to the experiences and joy of social-concerns, cleanliness, environment, energy, water-conservation, health-consciousness, labour and service culture. Books are a true friend of a person. Therefore, children should be encouraged to read literature, culture and other educative books along with the curriculum.

Governor Patel said that in the present era of modern technology and technique, the influence of western civilization is being seen more rapidly on the new generation. It is our responsibility to keep our children informed about our culture and civilization. He said that our country was a symbol of knowledge and prosperity in the world. Due to mutual strife, our country had become slave. The Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi is being celebrated to make us acquainted with the struggle for freedom achieved by the sacrifice of the brave heroes and heroines of our country. He said that the young and future generations should be made aware of the importance of our culture, the glorious traditions and the problems and ill-effects of the materialism of Western civilization.

The President of Hema Society, Philip Panicker informed that the school was established on July 16, 1973 with 16 children and three rooms of the Sanskritik Bhawan. Today the school is doing the work of teaching 1300 students in an area of ​​3.4 acres.
