Bhopal 07 June 2022: Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the meeting of the Council of Ministers began with the recitation of Vande Mataram. Chief Minister Chouhan and members of the Cabinet observed a minute's silence and paid homage to the pilgrims who died in Panna district in Uttarakhand road accident. Before the meeting, Chief Minister Chouhan gave information regarding road accident in Uttarakhand. He said that it was due to the readiness and promptness of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Dhami, NDRF, SDRF and district administration to reach the spot immediately along with the team of officials of Madhya Pradesh that we were able to save three passengers of the bus that met with the accident.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that our government considers the entire state as family. When some family members are in peril, how can we sit in peace. Due to this restlessness, he decided to go to Uttarakhand promptly to participate in and monitor the relief and rescue operations.
Chief Minister Chouhan, in discussion with the ministers, expressed concern over the road accidents happening in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan expressed the need to analyze the causes of recent road accidents in Panna, Betul, Khandwa and Rewa.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed to constitute a three-member committee on road safety. Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava, Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput and Cooperatives and Public Service Management Minister Arvind Singh Bhadauria will be members in the committee. This committee will review the activities conducted for road safety and the necessary precautions to be adopted and submit the report – Window to News
