Role of manufacturing sector is important in skill upgradation

Industries minister Shukla in session on "Skill Development and Employment Opportunities in Manufacturing Sector" 

Bhopal: Industries minister Rajendra Shukla said that manufacturing sector plays important role in skill upgradation. More and more jobs can be provided in this sector. Shukla was addressing session on 'Skill Development and Employment Opportunities in Manufacturing Sector' in Global Skill Summit 2017 today. He said that development of skilled manpower for every sector is need of the hour. State government is conducting various schemes for unemployed youths.

 Joint Secretary of Union Ministry of Skill Development Smt. Jyotsana Sitling said that we should promote mentorship before skill development. It should be focused that youths should be motivated to set up micro and medium industries.

 CEO of Textile sector Skill Council JB Rao said that textile is one sector after agriculture wherein more jobs can be created. By focusing on skill development for this sector, textile industry can be further developed.

 CEO of Automotive Skill Development Council Sunil Chaturvedi said that only manufacturing area does not provide job opportunities in auto mobile sector, but it generates opportunities for jobs for technical services, pure services like banking and insurance etc. also. He said that six crore jobs will be available directly or indirectly in next ten years in automotive sector.

 Naukri.com CEO B Suresh said that change has to be accepted for living in present era. Executive Director of Bridgestone Ajay Sevkari said that digital change will provide more and more job opportunities in the future.

 CEO of Textile Sector Skill Council JB Rao, Chairman of Employment Creation Board Hemant Deshmukh, Chairman of RERA Antony deSa, Principal Secretary, Industries Mohammed Suleman were present in the session.-WTN
