First Summit on Global Skill Development in the Country

392 Intention to Skill Development – Skill training to 5 lakh 54 thousand 185 youths 
Implementation of models of both Germany and Singapore for employment generation 
Rajya Rozgar Nirman Board will be strengthened - CM Chouhan 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the topmost priority of the state government is to encourage employment opportunities. For this models of both Germany and Singapore will be implemented for employment generation in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the concluding ceremony of Global Skill Development and Participation Summit 2017 today. This kind of summit has been organized in the state for the first time. In this summit, 5 lakh 70 thousand 627 youths will get employment in the 392 intention to employment conducted in different areas. Also 5 lakh 54 thousand and 185 youths will be given skill training in 392 intention to skill developments conducted.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government is committed to increase employment opportunities. Rajya Rozgar Nirman Board will be strengthened. A platform has been created between youth and industries giving employment through this summit. Two models who give employment are popular in the world. In the Germany model, the government imparts training to youths for skill promotion and industries give them employment. In the Singapore model the state government assesses the needs of employment and then trains them. After training the youths are employed. There the needs of the industries are assessed once in every three years and accordingly training trades are determined. In Madhya Pradesh both these models will be implemented separately. With the help of Singapore a Global Skill Park will be developed at a cost of nearly Rs 600 crore in the state. Training for employment in the unorganized sector will also be given in the state.

Monitoring of MoUs every month

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the next 2-3 years Rs 86 thousand crores will be spent in the urban development area and Rs One lakh crore will be spent on rural development in the state. MoUs signed during the global summit will be monitored every month. For this Rozgar Nirman Board and Technical Education Department will be nodal agency. The report card of the summit will be presented by the end of the May next year in which information regarding number of youths who obtained employment through the summit will be given. He said that better employment opportunities will be made available for the youths of the state.

Minister of State for Technical Education and Skill Development Deepak Joshi said that since generations, the tradition in India is to give work according to talent. Efforts are being made to improve quality of engineering and polytechnic colleges in the state. A workshop will be organized in every division of the state through which training according to needs of industries will be assessed.

Chief Secretary B.P Singh gave a presentation on the summit. He said that 22 MoUs of skill development and training were signed during the summit. Nearly 2500 representatives from all over the country took part in the summit. Chairman of National Skill Development Council Gaurav Kapoor also addressed the programme.

Four MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Chouhan at the concluding ceremony. These MoUs were signed between Technical Education Department and CII on Skill Enhancement, Skill training between Prakash Asphalting and Toll Highways and Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Mission, on skill development between Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology and Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Mission and on for training between Association of Industries of Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Skill Development Mission.

Present on the occasion were Commerce and Industry Minister Rajendra Shukla, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis, Chairman of State Tourism Development Corporation Tapan Bhomick, Chairman of Rajya Rozgar Nirman Board Hemant Deshmukh and representatives of business world. Principal Secretary Commerce and Industry Shri Mohammed Suleiman proposed the vote of thanks. After the programme Chief Minister Chouhan gave the green signal to Badhaigiri mobile vehicle.

1. Between MP Plastic Park Development Corporation Limited and Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Bhopal on Skill Development.

2. Between Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Madhya Pradesh Trade and Investment Facilitation Corporation Limited (Madhya Pradesh government venture) for setting up multi purpose skill centre.

3. Training of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of Tata Strive and Madhya Pradesh Council for Vocational Education and Training for assistance.

4. Between Prakash Asphalting and Toll Highways Limited and Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) for skill development training.

5. Between CBSL Group and Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) for capacity building of ITI students and career guidance

6. Between Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) for training of students in automobile, machinery and other manufacturing sector.

7. Between Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) and Tata Consultancy Services to make skill development training available to 25,000 youths through TCS.

8. Between JBM Auto Limited and Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) for skill development training in automobile sector.

9. Between Women and Child Development Department and Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) to make small term skill development training available to 50,000 women.

10. Between National Academy of Construction and Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) for skill development training in manufacturing sector.-WTN
