Four awards not three for excellence
Essay-drawing competitions in EPCO on World Environment Day  

Bhopal: School children took part enthusiastically in drawing and essay competitions organised by EPCO on World Environment Day in Bhopal. Children put their views showing awareness in essay competition on 'Tell when you saw butterfly last'. Judges picked four essays for awards on the place of three each in two categories  influencing with language style and expressions in the essay competition. Executive director of EPCO Anupam Rajan was present on the occasion.

Winners of Essay competition

Essay of Aditya Singh of Saint Joseph Co-Ed School, Ikara Ashfaq of Delhi Public School, Ishan Nair of Billabong Higher School and Aishwarya Singh of Saint Merry Schools were found excellent in first category of class V to VIII. In the second category, Priyanvada Chobey of Saint Joseph Convent School, Nimisha Pathak of Delhi Public School, Khushi Jain of Saint Joseph Co-Ed School and Muskan Yadav of Saint Joseph School were selected for award.

Winners of Drawing Competition

Drawing of Akash Kathait of Vikram Higher Secondary School, Pragya Verma of KAMLA Nehru School, Shubhi Dubey of Saint Xavier Co Ed School in the first category of class V to VIII and Anesi Ekka of Carmel Convent, Yash Vishwakarma of Model Higher Secondary School and Pranjal Gotiwal of Kendriya Vidyalaya no 2 were chosen for awards by the jury. Around 280 children were attended both the competitions.

'Wall of Resolution'

Wall of Resolution' remained the centre of attraction in EPCO campus. Children and other people visited the place put print of their palm on the wall as an expression of their resolution for environment protection.

Programme on June 5

'Forests in the proximity of the nature' programme will begin with Yoga, meditation and classical music on June 5 at 6 am in EPCO campus. Seed bawls carrying seeds of local species, will be prepared between 8 am to 2 pm. They will be sown in rainy season at appropriate places.

Award ceremony at 4 pm

Winners of both the competitions will be awarded in ceremony at 4 pm in EPCO campus. Each winner will get Rs 5000 cash award.-WTN
