Quickly complete the projects of Jal Jeevan Mission: CM Chouhan

Chief Minister reviewed Jal Jeevan Mission projects

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the remaining projects for approval under Jal Jeevan Mission should be approved soon and ensure that water reaches the villages. Public money should be put to good use. Corruption will not be tolerated anywhere in the construction of projects. The officers of the Ministry go to the Gram Sabhas and present the report after visiting the area. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the projects of Jal Jeevan Mission at the residence office.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state has reached the third place in the country with 34 percent water certification of houses. Make the mission a mass campaign. This is an opportunity to change people's lives. Testing of drinking water samples is being done in a better way in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the process of completing the group and all other water supply schemes should be expedited. On completion of the projects, they should be inaugurated in a festive atmosphere in the village.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that ministers, in-charge ministers, MLAs and other public representatives should also attend the inauguration programme. I will also join virtually and will also go to a village. He said that the Gorakhpura project in Rajgarh district would be completed in the month of December, which would benefit 145 villages. Prepare for inauguration by adding all these 145 grams. Keep doing programs like this. Projects will be completed by September 2023 for about 3 thousand villages in the state. They should be launched continuously. Similarly, programs for foundation stone laying will also be done.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that there should be better publicity of the projects in print and electronic media. Programs should be fixed for the inauguration of completed projects and arrangements should be made to connect the villagers virtually. Officers should also tour the villages before the programme. After Burhanpur, in the next phase, the work of providing tap water to every household in Niwari and Indore districts will be completed soon.
