State government’s focus on Skill Enhancement

I.T.E.E.S Singapore delegation meets CM Chouhan
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today met a delegation of Institute of Technical Education-Educational Service (I.T.E.E.S), Singapore led by Dean Tan Seng Hua. Minister of State for Technical Education Shri Deepak Joshi was present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government’s focus is on skill enhancement. State government wishes to make trained human resources its strength and efforts are in progress in this direction. Global Skill Development Summit was organized in Bhopal sometime back. The State’s ITI institutes are being developed in Mission Mode. Youth are being trained so that they are able to set up their own enterprise.
I.T.E.E.S Dean Tan Seng Hua said that the initiative of youth empowerment is commendable. His institute will work for high quality skill training. In this connection industry representatives are being contacted.
Global Skill Park bhoomi-pujan on July 3 in Bhopal
It was told that the bhoomi-pujan of Global Skill Park to be constructed at a cost of nearly Rs 645 crore in Bhopal would be held on July 3. I.T.E.E.S Singapore will extend technical assistance in this development work. Through this park, 10,000 youth will be trained every year. For this park, 37 acre land has been reserved in Govindpura, Bhopal. Asian Development Bank’s Social Sector Expert Chong Fook Yen, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Ashok Vernawal, Principal Secretary Technical Education Smt. Kalpana Shrivastava were present on the occasion.-WTN
