Ceremony to be held at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute fund for laptops to brilliant students under Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana at Bhopal’s Lal Parade Ground on June 28, 2017 in Bhopal. The laptop fund distribution ceremony will begin from 12 noon.
Chief Minister Chouhan will be present as the chief guest during the ceremony. Among those to be present on the occasion are School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Panchayat and Rural Development and Bhopal District in Charge Minister Gopal Bhargav, Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi and Minister of State for SC/ST Welfare Lal Singh Arya.
Total Rs 46 crore 44 lakhs and 50 thousand will be distributed to 18 thousand 578 students of both government and non-government schools for purchase of laptops at the rate of Rs 25,000 per student. The students to benefit from the Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana include 5,873 students of the Scheduled Caste category, 2,373 of Scheduled Tribe category, 5,617 of Other Backward Class and 4,715 students of General category.
Students securing 85 per cent or more marks in MP Board of Secondary Education examination are being given the fund at the ceremony for purchasing laptops. Students belonging to the SC/ST category must secure 75 per cent or more marks to avail the benefits of the scheme.-WTN
