Chief Electoral Officer Rajan inspects counting venue in Ujjain, apprises himself about the strong room and security arrangements
Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan reached the counting site located at Government Engineering College in Ujjain on Saturday and inspected it. He sought information about the security arrangements of EVMs. Collector and District Election Officer Ujjain Kumar Purushottam informed Rajan about the preparations and security arrangements for counting of votes.
Chief Electoral Officer Rajan inspected the preparations being made for the counting of votes for 7 assembly constituencies of Ujjain district on 3rd December. He took stock of the preparations at the counting rooms set-up assembly constituency wise. He also saw the arrangements being made for counting of postal ballots. He sought information about counting tables, number of staff engaged in counting, security arrangements etc. He inspected the security arrangements of the strong room.
Rajan saw the arrangements made for monitoring of the strong room at the counting venue through CCTV. Divisional Commissioner Ujjain Dr. Sanjay Goyal, Superintendent of Police Sachin Sharma, Deputy District Election Officer MS Kavache and other officers were present during the inspection.
