Bhopal to Hold Regional Workshop on AIDS Today

Bhopal: Regional Workshop on AIDS is being conducted jointly by National AIDS Control Organisation, Union Ministry for Public Health and Family Welfare, International Labour Organisation and Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Committee at Hotel Jehanuma -Bhopal on July 20 and 21. Experiences and strategies will be shared to include HIV/AIDS related activities prevailing in labour sector in the workshop. IEC and Mainstreaming officers of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Committees besides Representatives of Industrial Units and Organisations are participating in the workshop.

The workshop will be inaugurated at 10.30 a.m. on July 20. Commissioner Public Health Smt. Pallavi Jain, Project Director Umesh Kumar, Deputy Director General National AIDS Control Organisation Dr. Naresh Goyal, National Advisor Dr. Rajesh Rana, Programme Officer International Labour Organisation Mohammad Bakar and Regional Director Central Board of Workers Education will present in the workshop. An action will be ensured in private and public sector in future on the basis of results obtained from the deliberations in the workshop.-WTN
