Workshop on sand mining, transport and marketing plan of rivers

Bhopal: A workshop has been organized on July 21 to prepare a framework according to policy of sand marketing and transport, mining scheme and sand harvesting as per condition of rivers in the state.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the workshop at EPCO community hall in Paryavaran Parisar, Bhopal at 10.30 a.m. Mineral Resources and Industry Minister Rajendra Shukla, National Green Tribunal’s Judicial Member, Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation Chairman, Vice-Chairman and senior officers of the Corporation will take part in the workshop. There will be three technical sessions after the inaugural session in the workshop. Special discussion will be held on the prevention of illegal mining and transport of sand at the workshop.-WTN
