MAPCOST should make project to raise income

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MAPCOST) should form a committee to make a project to raise its income. Revenue, Science and Technology Minister Umashankar Gupta gave these instructions during a meeting of MAPCOST executive committee.
Gupta said that recruitments on16 posts as per MAPCOST’s requirement should be made with transparency. He approved the proposal of hall construction in Ujjain Taramandal Parisar and purchase of 3-D technique equipment, the total cost of which is Rs 6 crore 50 lakh.
During the meeting a proposal of Rs 17 crore 70 lakhs for setting up sub-regional science centre at Jabalpur has been approved. Decision on increasing fellowship amount of project team working in the Council was also taken during the meeting. Now research associates, senior research fellows, junior research fellows who are NET/GATE qualified will now get Rs 36,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Order to remove Accounts In Charge
Gupta ordered removal of In charge Joint Director for not maintaining proper accounts related records. He said that auditing of all records should be done.
Principal Secretary Science and Technology Mohammed Suleiman, MAPCOST Director General Dr. Navin Chandra and other members of the committee were present at the meeting.-WTN
