India ASEAN Summit- Members of Parliament Hold Discussion on Governance

Bhopal: Lok Sabha and Rajya Members held discussions with the youth representatives of 11 countries participating in India-ASEAN Youth Summit on the subject Governance and Policy Formation. Lok Sabha Member from Odisha Baijyant Panda, Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Subhash Chandra and Lok Sabha Member from Meghalaya Conrad Sangma participated in the discourse held under the the Chairmanship of India Foundation Ram Madhav in this session.
Representatives of Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei, Vietnam and India discussed with the Members of Parliament on various subjects. Discussion on responsibilities of politicians in democratic system, expectations and working process took place in this session. The representatives of various countries in context to social, economic, political, cultural and academic situation in their countries interacted on governance, use of I.T., participation in governance and formation of public welfare schemes beside their implementation.-WTN
