Commissioner Archeology Rajan Inaugurates Ancient Coins’ Exhibition at State Museum

Bhopal: Commissioner Archeology, Archives and Museum Anupam Rajan inaugurated exhibition focusing ancient coins at State Museum, Shyamla Hills. These coins have been received for exhibition from Ashvini Shoddh Sansthan, Mahidpur of Ujjain district. Coins of various metals of different rulers and dynasties mainly related to Ujjaini have been displayed in the exhibition. Moreover, coins of Hindayvan, Ujjaini, Mahakaal types, Kushan, Magadh, different Mahajanpadas and Takshila Gandhaar etc. have been exhibited in the exhibition.

Director Ashvini Shoddh Sansthan, Mahidpur, Dr. R.C. Thakur informed in detail about the coins on the occasion. A large number of research scholars, school and college students besides historians saw the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open for visitors till October 17 at State Museum, Shyamla hills, Bhopal.-Windowtonews
