Bhopal: Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya is organising the next chapter of its popular series, Museum Popular Lecture on Wedneday, 25th October, 2017 at Rock Art conference hall from 11.30pm. In this lecture Shri Rolf Killius (Specialist consultant in Oral History Management, National Musuem of Qatar, Doha) will speak on 'Where the Sea kisses the Desert – Multi-ethnic Musical Impressions from the Arabian Peninsula'. In this lecture Rolf Killius elaborates on the rich traditional music of the Arabian Peninsula. He shows these (mostly young) nations as multi-ethnic societies as reflected in their rich musical culture.
'Sachida Nagdev-Rang Smriti'
In the memory of legendary painter, Late Shri Sachida Nagdev and on the occasion of his 78th Birthday on 25th October, Ms. Smita Nagdev is organising three days long art festival 'Sachida Nagdev-Rang Smriti' in collaboration with IGRMS, Aisect University and MP Tourism Board at Aavriti Bhawan and its open air exhibition area.
Shri Adwaita Gadanayak, Director General, National Gallery of Modern Art will inaugurate the memorial festival on 25th October at 6pm and followed by launch of 'Souvenir' and screening of a documentary on the life of Shri Sachida Nagdev, followed by a musical presentation by Indo-Western fusion band, where with Sitar- Smita Nagdev, Tabla – Shri Ramendra Solanki, Florian-western flute and Ciril-double bass.-Windowtonews
