Morocco, Spain arrest 4 for recruiting IS fighters
Rabat Dec 5 (IANS/MAP) Moroccan and Spanish security services arrested four people suspected of recruiting and sending fighters to the Islamic State (IS) group the Moroccan Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.
In a joint operation three suspects were arrested in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Girona and another in the northern Moroccan city of Tangier the Ministry said in a statement.
Morocco and Spain have close security coordination especially in counter-terrorism as they have jointly busted several terror networks active in both countries.
The arrestees were also suspected of glorifying IS terror attacks and inciting such attacks outside IS-controlled territories the statement added.
The person arrested in Morocco will be brought before court after the public prosecutor s office completes its investigation.
