Alfano to attend anti-IS coalition summit in Kuwait
Rome Feb 12 (IANS/AKI) Italy s Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano said on Monday that he will on Tuesday attend a meeting of the global coalition against the Islamic State jihadist group.
"I will keep stressing the need to stem IS s financial flows and those of all other terrorist organisations " Alfano told a meeting in Rome of Italian tax agents working abroad.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Kuwait s Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad Al-Sabah are among those due to attend the anti-IS coalition summit.
The US-lead coalition against the IS was formed in September 2014 and contains 70 partner countries the Arab League NATO the European Union and Interpol.
