30 killed in Peru bus accident
Lima Feb 22 (IANS) At least 30 people have been killed and 17 others injured after a passenger bus overturned and plunged into a ravine in Peru s Arequipa region officials said.
The accident took place on Wednesday on the North Pan-American Highway in the town of Camana Efe news reported.
The head of the Arequipa regional government s National and Civil Defence Office Jacqueline Choque told Canal N television that at least 30 people died while National Police sources said the number of fatalities could climb to 36.
