34 militants killed in Afghanistan

Kabul July 8 (IANS) Thirty-four militants were killed and 18 others injured in Afghanistan s Balkh province during security operations a police official said on Sunday.
"The militants were killed during the cleanup operations in Chamtal district on Saturday " the official told Xinhua news agency. Two security personnel were also injured.
