5 killed in S.Korea s military copter crash

Seoul July 17 (IANS) Five soldiers were killed and one was injured in a military helicopter crash on Tuesday in South Korea s Pohang city authorities said.
The chopper crashed at the landing strip of a military unit in Pohang South Gyeongsang province at about 4.45 p.m. Xinhua news agency reported.
Among the six soldiers aboard the ill-fated MUH1 chopper five were killed and one was wounded.
The helicopter reportedly fell down from about 10 metres high in the air while making a test-flight after maintenance. It was burned to ashes.
While extinguishing the fire one firefighter was also injured. The Marine Corps command was quoted as saying it would form a committee to investigate the exact cause of the incident.
