Islamic body condemns Israel s Jewish nation-state law

Rabat July 20 (IANS) The Islamic Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) on Friday strongly condemned Israel s approval of the "Jewish nation-state" law which considers the country as the state of the Jewish people and Jerusalem as capital.
The legislation sparking outrage of Israel s Arab community strips Arabic of its designation as an official language downgrading it to a "special status" to allow its use in Israeli institutions.
Deeming it as "racist " ISESCO said the law was "a declaration of war against the Palestinian people and a denial of its existence and legitimate rights in its land" Xinhua news agency reported.
ISESCO called on the international community to reject this "false racist law."
