2 Taliban commanders among 24 killed in Afghan clash

Kabul July 24 (IANS) Two security forces personnel and two Taliban commanders were among 24 killed in an overnight clash in Afghanistan s Ghazni province police said on Tuesday.
"The clash erupted in Jaghatu and Gelan districts late on Monday in which Taliban divisional commanders Mubaraz Kochi and Khalid were killed " police officer Farid Ahmad Mashal told Xinhua news agency.
Twenty other militants were also killed and at least 17 were wounded.
The Taliban-led insurgency has been on a rampage since the beginning of 2015 when the Afghan security forces took over full responsibilities of security from the US and NATO troops.
