Washington: In his first tweet of the day, as he prepares to take office as US President, Donald Trump posted in bold letters "THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES -- THE WORK BEGINS."
"It all begins today! I will see you at 11.00 a.m. for the swearing-in. THE MOVEMENT CONTINUES -- THE WORK BEGINS!", he posted on Twitter.
In the first event of the big day, leading up to the swearing-in, Trump along with his family members attended church service at St. John's Episcopal Church here, before heading to the White House.
Outgoing President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are to host a tea and coffee reception for the Trump family in the Blue Room.
Afterwards, the Obamas will depart the White House with the Trumps for the Capitol building, where the inauguration will be held.-Agency
