2 killed in Afghanistan blast

Charikar (Afghanistan) Sep 15 (IANS) Two security personnel lost their lives and two others sustained injuries as a blast rocked Afghanistan s Parwan province on Saturday officials said.
According to a police official the security personnel were busy defusing an explosive device on a road in Khalazai area on the outskirts of Charikar the capital of Parwan province when it exploded Xinhua news agency reported.
The Taliban described the blast as a roadside bombing claiming that it was planted by the militant group and struck a vehicle of security personnel killing several persons.
