Nobel Peace Prize awarded to campaigner’s against anti-sex violence

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2018 is awarded to Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad for their efforts to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war and armed conflict.

Nadia Murad, a victim of captivity, faced sex slavery of terrorist group Islamic State (IS) in war zone, is being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her struggle against sexual violence.


Jointly with Nadia doctor from Congo Denis Mukwege is also awarded with this prestigious honor. Doctor Denis has been working to treat the victims of sexual violence in the war zone.

The Nobel Committee said that their struggle against sexual violence as a weapon in war zone is being honored.
