Over 20 injured as pickup ploughs into crowd in US
Houston Feb 26 (IANS) More than 20 persons were injured when a pickup truck ploughed into a parade crowd in the US state of Louisiana.
The truck rammed into a crowd and other vehicles at the Krewe of Endymion parade in New Orleans on Saturday night Xinhua news agency reported.
It came to a stop against a dump truck the police said.
Five of the injured were in critical condition.
According to a witness he heard people screaming as the truck was steered into the crowd.
The driver had intended to push another vehicle out of his way.
A female witness said the driver seemed unaware of what he had done.
The police have ruled out terrorism.
