China cites progress in US trade talks

Beijing, Oct 31 (IANS) The Chinese and US economic and trade teams have maintained close contacts and are making smooth progress on the negotiations, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Thursday.The two sides will continue to advance consultations as planned, and the Chinese and US chief trade negotiators will hold a phone conversation again on Friday, Xinhua quoted the spokesperson as saying.
