Dhaka, Nov 12 (IANS) At least 15 people were killed on Tuesday after a head-on collision between two passenger trains in Bangladesh's Brahmanbaria district, officials said.

The Chattogram-bound Udayan Express from Sylhet and Dhaka-bound Turna Nishita from Chattogram collided at Mondobhag Railway Station at around 2.15 a.m. on Tuesday, bdnews24 reported citing Shyamal Kanti Das, chief of Akhaura Railway Police, as saying.

Nine people died on the spot, while six others died in different hospitals, according to Deputy Commissioner Hayat-ud-Daula Khan.
