Pak soldier killed in Balochistan clash with terrorists

Quetta, Dec 21 (IANS) The Pakistan Army confirmed on Monday that a soldier was killed during a clash with terrorists in Balochistan province.In a statement, the Army said that based on an intelligence report regarding the presence of terrorists and their facilitators in Jatt Bazar near Awaran, security forces launched a search and clearance operation on Sunday, reports Xinhua news agency.Due to an intense exchange of fire with the terrorists during the operation, a soldier was injured and immediately evacuated to Karachi, the statement from the army's media wing the Inter-Services Public Relations said.However, the soldier died due to excessive bleeding, according to the statement.The security forces have successfully cleared the entire area of Jatt Bazar.
