Over 9,000 Turkish policemen suspended over links to Gulen
Ankara April 27 (IANS) More than 9 000 Turkish policemen have been suspended over their alleged links with the Gulenist Group.
Earlier on Wednesday over 1 000 suspected Gulenists were detained in police raids across Turkey the Interior Ministry said.
The operations were carried out as part of a probe led by chief public prosecutor s office in Ankara Xinhua news agency reported.
The US-based Fethullah Gulen is accused by the Turkish government of masterminding the July 2016 coup attempt which left 249 people dead.
