Afghan religious official killed in explosion
Kabul May 9 (IANS) A senior religious official was killed on Tuesday in an explosion in Afghanistan s Parwan province officials said.
Chief of Provincial Ulema Council Abdul Rahim Shah Hanafi was killed following an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion inside a seminary school Xinhua news agency quoted the officials as saying.
The attack took place when Hanafi was holding a class in the provincial capital city of Charikar. Seven students were injured.
No group has claimed responsibility yet.
