Man arrested after Dutch hostage situation ends

The Hague Aug 17 (IANS) A man was arrested on Thursday after he held a woman hostage at a radio station in Hilversum the Netherlands police said.
The man first threatened the woman with a knife and then Later they entered the building of the NPO 3FM station reports Xinhua news agency.
The nature of the man s relationship with the woman remains unclear.
According to reports by broadcaster NOS the woman is an NPO employee.
The broadcaster also said that the man had entered the building holding a big knife to her throat and that he had wanted to speak to someone from CNN.
3FM is a Dutch pop and rock radio station controlled by the public broadcaster NPO.
