Man kills two daughters for honour in Pakistan

Islamabad Sep 23 (IANS) Two young women were killed by their father "in the name of honour" in Pakistan s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province police said on Saturday.
According to Bala Mani Deputy Superintendent of Police Fazal Wahid Abdul Gani killed his daughters -- 20-year-old Shamim and 10-year-old Noreen -- in Peshawar s Achar Kali area on September 20 and confessed to the crime upon his arrest Dawn reported.
Last year on October 6 a joint session of Parliament unanimously approved anti-honour killing and anti-rape bills.
The legislation on honour killings will introduce strict punishment for the convicts.
