Kolkata warehouse catches fire
Kolkata Nov 7 (IANS) A warehouse on the banks of Hooghly river here caught fire on Tuesday evening and the fire services were trying to prevent it from spreading a fire service official said. No injuries were reported so far.
"A major fire broke out in a warehouse at the Armenian ghat around 7.46 p.m. on Tuesday. Primarily it seemed a plenty of inflammable materials were stored in it. The exact reason of fire could not be comprehended yet " the official said
The official said there was a high possibility of fire spreading to other adjacent establishments and 20 fire tenders were working for almost one and a half hours to douse the blaze.
"No injuries are reported so far " the official said.
