President to launch Health Insurance Scheme on Jharkhand foundation day

Ranchi Nov 13 (IANS) President Ram Nath Kovind will launch schemes worth over Rs 2 000 crore on Jharkhand s foundation day on November 15.

Kovind will be the chief guest at this year s foundation day programme to be held at the Morabadi Ground here.

"The President will launch scores of schemes on the foundation day. The schemes include Rs 1 500 crore Johar Yojana and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme " Jharkhand Home Secretary S.K.G. Rahate told reporters here.

Besides these schemes the President will also launch the 108 ambulance scheme. He will also hand over appointment letters to the principals of newly constituted colleges and university doctors specialists teachers and constables.

The President of India will be participating in the state s foundation day programme for the first time.

Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar on November 15 2000.
