AIMIM wins Dasna chairman s seat

Ghaziabad Dec 1 (IANS) Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e- Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on Friday won chairmanship of the Dasna City Panchayat here.
In a close fight its candidate Hajjan Hansar defeated her closest rival Independent candidate Praveen Nadia by 587 votes.
Hansar got 3 148 votes while Praveen got 2 561 votes. Congress Shakeena Begum stood third securing 2 546 votes. There were 25 candidates in the fray.
