Bihar minister gets Rs 1 lakh extortion call

Patna Dec 10 (IANS) A Bihar minister has alleged that a man demanded Rs 1 lakh from him on Sunday and threatened to kill him if he did not pay up police said.
Bihar Minority Affairs and Sugarcane Development Minister Khurshid Alam lodged a complaint at a police station in West Champaran district against a man named Mohd Imtiyaz after he got two calls said a district police officer.
West Champaran Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar said Alam informed him about the extortion call. "I have ordered local police to arrest the accused " he said.
Alam has also informed state police headquarters about the extortion demand and threat to his life police said.
