Northern army chief visits LoC in Poonch, Rajouri

Jammu Dec 20 (IANS) Indian Army s Northern Command chief Lt Gen Devraj Anbu on Wednesday visited forward areas on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir s Poonch and Rajouri districts a defence statement said.
The statement by the Udhampur-headquartered Northern Command said that Anbu visited forward areas in Poonch and Naushera sectors and reviewed security situation and operational preparedness.
He also commended all ranks for their dedication & professionalism it added.
The Pakistani Army has been resorting to frequent ceasefire violations on the LoC this year especially in these two districts.
