Haryana STF arrests criminal carrying Rs 5,000 bounty

Gurugram Jan 27 (IANS) The Gurugram-based Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a criminal from Sonipat who had a bounty of Rs 5 000 on his head police said on Saturday.

The arrested criminal has been identified as Amjad a resident of village Mukarmpur under Buria Police Station in the state s Yamunanagar district.

"Amjad carried a bounty of Rs 5 000 on his head and was arrested from Deepalpur Mohammad village in Sonipat on Friday " the officer said.

"He has confessed that on May 11 2016 he along with his two accomplices had tried to kill people by hitting them with a Scorpio (SUV) and fired at public and the police over the cow slaughter issue " he said.

Amjad s accomplices Sahjad and Aash Mohammad are residents of Lapra village in Yamunanagar district and are yet to be arrested.
