Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 p.m.

New Delhi Feb 6 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m. on Tuesday after Trinamool Congress (TMC) members created a ruckus over alleged interference of West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi in the state s work.

Soon after the House met Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu completed important legislative business and rejected several notices given by the TMC TDP and Akali Dal.

As TMC s notice was rejected party member Derek O Brian opposed the move. He was heard asking how a Governor can interfere in an elected government s work.

Naidu asked the TMC leader not to raise the issue of the Governor in the House but O Brian continued with his remarks.

The Chairman then adjourned the house till 2 p.m.
