Sri Lanka releases Indian fisherman after son s death

New Delhi Feb 10 (IANS) India has secured the release of a Tamil Nadu fisherman whose son died earlier this week from Sri Lanka the External Affairs Ministry said on Saturday.
"Responding to a request for the release of a Tamil Nadu fisherman in Sri Lankan custody whose son passed away on February 7 we took up the matter with Sri Lankan authorities " the ministry said in a statement.
"He has been released and returning to India shortly " it said.
According to the ministry the release of more than 100 other fisherman is in process.
