Five Maoists arrested in Jharkhand

Ranchi April 8 (IANS) Five hardcore Maoist guerrillas have been arrested in Jharkhand s Seraikela-Kharwa district police said on Sunday.
A country-made pistol two air guns one pistol and three mobiles were seized from the five who were arrested during a police checking of vehicles on the Kuchai Chanpad highway on Saturday night.
Those arrested were Hikim Munda Ghanshayam Munda Ram Munda Taraknath Kewart and Dawood Toppno. Maoists are active in 18 of the 24 districts of the state.
