New Delhi May 23 (IANS) The Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought a response from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a plea by senior journalist Upendra Rai seeking quashing of a second FIR filed by the agency against him.

On May 5 the CBI filed the second FIR against Rai alleging that he took money from a Mumbai-based real estate company to settle an issue with income tax and adverse media reporting.
On May 3 the agency had filed its first FIR against the senior journalist and arrested him for dubious transactions to the tune of over Rs 100 crore during 2017-2018.
