Rahul expresses shock over Karnataka MLA s death
New Delhi May 28 (IANS) Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday expressed shock over the death of Karnataka legislator Siddu Bhimappa Nyamgoud in a road accident and lauded his contribution to farmers causes.
"I am shocked to hear about the demise of Karnataka MLA Shri Siddu Nyamagouda in a tragic accident. A popular leader he played a major role in erecting a farmer s barrage across the Krishna River at Padasalagi.
"My thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of grief " Gandhi said in a tweet.
Nyamgoud 71 legislator from Jamkhandi in Karnataka s Bagalkot district died in a road accident near in the district on Monday police said.
