2 arrested in J&K for snatching AK-47s

Jammu June 11 (IANS) Two youths in Jammu and Kashmir were arrested on Monday after they snatched two AK-47 rifles from security guards at a shrine in Rajouri district police said.
After Sunday s incident an alert was sounded and check posts were set up in the area.
Early on Monday the youths fired shots at security personnel at a checkpost using the AK-47 assault rifles leading to their arrest. No injury was reported a police officer said.
The arrested youths have been identified as Mukhtar Ahmed and Aijaz Ahmed Parray of Shopian district.
