Maoist gunned down in Chhattisgarh

Bijapur (Chhattisgarh) July 2 (IANS) A Maoist was killed in a gunfight with security personnel in this Chhattisgarh district on Monday police said.
An INSAS rifle and a large number of items of daily use were recovered from the dead rebel who is yet to be identified.
According to Bijapur s Superintendent of Police Mohit Garg the gunfight broke out in the Indripal forest area when a patrol of the anti-Maoist force and District Reserve Group were undertaking a search operation in the area.
