Couple attacked in Allahabad, dies

Allahabad July 3 (IANS) A man and his wife who were attacked here in Uttar Pradesh while they were asleep outside their house have died police said on Tuesday.
Vijay Bharti 50 and Usha Bharti 47 were found with critical injuries made by sharp-edged objects early on Tuesday by their neighbours on Padila Tharwai road.
Both succumbed to their injuries. The wife died minutes after the discovery while the husband passed away in the hospital. They had several deep cuts and wounds a police officer said.
The husband was a tailor by profession and lived with his in-laws for the past 20 years.
Their eight-year-old son Shivam and three daughters -- Sonu 20 Aanchal 14 and Neetu 17 -- were sleeping inside the house when unidentified assailants attacked the parents.
"We are talking to the relatives and family members to ascertain if the deceased had any animosity with someone " an officer told IANS.
